Bergdorf's employee discount did me well

My mother and I decided to visit my dad at work on Saturday, so I could pick out my belated birthday present. My dad works at Bergdorf Goodman, so of course we take advantage of his employee discount, and my parents actually let me pick something out from Bergdorf's as a birthday present. For my 15th birthday, my parents let me get the cult-favorite Alexander Wang Rocco satchel in black with the brass (I think) hardware, and I've been wearing it to death ever since, so it was time for a new bag to be added to my slowly growing collection.

During the holiday season, the windows at Bergdorf's are always unbelievably spectacular, but since my mom and I chose to visit on a day where it was freezing cold, snowing, and slightly hailing, I was risking frostbite if I decided to take my hands out of my pockets, so I only managed to get a picture of one of the windows. :( but it's still one of the most beautiful ones they have at the moment!
Hopefully I get to stop by again soon so I can get pictures of the rest of the immaculately decorated windows.

And on to the main point of this post -- what I picked as my belated birthday present! It only took a month and a half for me to get my belated Christmas present 'cause my parents wanted me to wait until the week in the holiday season that my dad would get an additional 30% (to his employee discount) off of the handbags and other accessories to get my present. I was stuck between the elegantly  structured Alexander Wang Prisma Skeletal Satchel in black, which had the $1,050 price tag (my parents would never get this for me unless my dad had the additional 30% off LOL),
and the 3.1 Phillip Lim 31 Hour bag in white, in it's oversized, crisply white glory (it costs $750).
The thing with the Phillip Lim is that apparently they weren't participating in the additional 30% off sale this week, so from the $750 price tag, it came down to $525. However, the AW Prisma Skeletal did have the additional 30% off discount, so from $1,050, it came down to $525 as well. LOL.

It was such a hard decision to pick between the two, and after asking for opinions, and staring longingly into the mirrors at Bergdorf's as I donned the two heavily priced bags, I decided on going with the ..

*dun da da duuuuuuuuuuun*

Phillip Lim 31 Hour Bag!!

Although I would be getting a better deal with the AWang Prisma Skeletal, and it would've been a little cute to have it with my beloved Rocco, I couldn't resist this 31 Hour beaut. It's insanely sized, and will fit my baglady needs perfectly. It slouches beautifully, and looks so crisp and clean, but gives an effortless feel, and could easily pair with a casual outfit, but look effortlessly glamorous as well. I've also been slowly feeding into the whole "white is the new black" thing, and I mean, can you blame me? White is just wonderful now. Winter white is my new favorite, my goodness, I can't get enough of it.

Anyways, it's 1:28 in the morning now, and I have to wake up for school tomorrow *loads gun*, haha. But yeah. Toodles, nonexistent followers, thanks for reading!

mini collective haul

black puffer coat - Target | charcoal cropped knit sweater - Marshalls | black asymmetrical moto miniskirt - Nasty Gal | b/w cat print midi pencil skirt - Nasty Gal | boots - Marshalls |

Got this stuff over the past two weeks, and I actually have worn everything but the puffer coat already, but I felt the need to take a blog post- and Instagram- worthy picture, and these all looked good together in the picture, so yeah.

I was killing time in Target with my mom, and I spotted this beauty in the hectic and super cluttered clothing section and ran (power walked) to it. Luckily, it was the last one in black, and in my size *praying hands emoji*. I think there was a pewter colored one, but it paled in comparison to it's black alternate. I pictured myself wearing it with a plain white crewneck, white skinnies, and my Roshes as a lazy every day outfit and fell even more in love. I snagged the two Nasty Gal skirts when they had this amazing sale where everything in the sale section was an additional 50% off. or was it only select items that were an additional 50%? Regardless, I got them for cheap, $33.70 total, to be exact. I had about $42 inmy account from a return I made too, so HEH HEH *smirk*. I would've gotten more pieces, but about 85% of the smalls that I actually liked and could actually afford we're already sold out, so I sped checked out before these two got sold out too. The Marshalls pieces were nothing special, I just stumbled upon some nice staple pieces for cheap, so .. y'know. LOL.

I'm in the midst of cleaning my room and getting myself together, so 99% of my November outfits have been sitting in a pile, waiting for me to take pictures in. Hopefully I start becoming more productive so I can make some actual outfit posts and just start blogging more often.

so yeah.

thanks for reading, nonexistent followers. y'all will be hearing from me again (hopefully) soon.

and a million years later ..

Well, this went as expected. it's been well over two months since I made a post (my first one) and this isn't going to be anything more interesting than the previous one, so don't bother grabbing any popcorn or making yourself comfy. I really hope I get more interesting with my posts soon, because I do hope to gain some sort of following on here at some point .. LOL. I'm currently watching a haul on YouTube by Tar Mar, aka tarmartales.com,
and it really really made me feel the urge to make a post for some rather unrelated reason.

I would be trying to make posts 10x more often than this, but I've been stressed out of my mind, with all of this homework, and college application stuff, and dance classes, and work (I work at Aldo Accessories, but I haven't even officially started yet, but the application process and meetings and stuff count, haha). The pathetic thing is that I don't even get any of it done, due to personal problems which I might-possibly-maybe never make a post about, but you get the point.

I'm the queen of procrastination when it comes to everything, and although many people probably think to themselves when reading this "Well, I procrastinate too, I have a real procrastination problem." -- yeah, no, like I take it to a WHOLE new level. LOL. So procrastinating on things that I don't like (i.e. regular academic homework, college applications) is a given, but I procrastinate on things I like doing too (i.e. cleaning my room, doing homework for my fashion class, sketching, sewing, making blog posts, etc.) so I just get absolutely nothing done.

Like, as I'm typing this, I have about two weeks worth of outfits I wore to school just laying in a messy heap amongst the headache-inducing mess of random things on my floor, because I was too lazy to stand in front of my closet door for about five minutes to take an OOTD picture to post on my Instagram (@imvictoriuuh).

Also, as I'm typing this, I'm working on my competition entry for this leadership organization that I'm in called FCCLA, where I had to design and sew an outfit to fit a Barbie doll, make a little business plan sheet thing that has a fabric profile, explanation of design, demographics, blahblahblah, and then a sketch of said outfit. I've been working .. I mean, "working" on this project since September, and the competition is on Monday, so obviously .. procrastination struck yet again. I'm currently hand stitching the waistband of my skirt (which is 10x harder and more tedious than you think, especially if you've never held a hand needle in your life before)
I'll probably make a post about my entire project after I actually complete it, but this'll suffice for now.

After I finish the waistband, and tacking on the velcro+snap closure duo, I'll hopefully attempt to make a mini haul post so I don't feel so pathetic about my intended "fashion blog" which has been more of a "normal but annoying rambling teenage girl blog" based off of this and the previous post.

So yeah. Let me end my rambling here and thank my nonexistent followers/stumbling viewers for reading my unnervingly long post.

Edit (11:57 P.M.) I actually first posted this at 11:51, but as I read over it again, I keep on finding stupid mistakes that I can't help but edit and then consequently re-publish it over and over. Ugh, I annoy myself. LOL.

finally, my first post.

well, I guess this is it.

I've always, and I mean ALWAYS have had a love for fashion. I've also had a strong interest in fashion blogging since the 8th grade, which sprouted from my avid use of the ever so popular Tumblr. and I've been meaning to start a fashion blog over the past four years, and I did actually start one my freshman year, but I gave up after a little over a month because that's when I used to use an actual digital camera to take my pictures, and uploading them onto my laptop was really annoying (I'm also unbelievably lazy, even to do something as simple as that), and I turned my focus to school (HA, that's really changed since then, LOL). but I never really stopped wanting to blog.

throughout my sophomore and junior year, I still wanted to blog. I never actually got around to doing anything other than creating this blog. I've never even posted anything before this; coming up with a URL that wasn't already taken for this took me how many months already, let alone actually posting something! the thing is, is that I actually recorded my outfits for school for 90% of the school year, and whenever I went to FIT or LIM for my summer high school courses in 2011-2013, so it makes sense, right? LOL. I even would post them every single day on my Twitter or Instagram accounts, usually with in-depth descriptions of all of the articles of clothing and accessories I wore too! I was basically fashion blogging, posting pictures with correlating descriptions of my outfits
on social media, except not doing it on an actual blogging platform. *insert laughing emoji* and now that I'm already a senior and have been putting this off for three years, and that doing this has become easy for me, now's finally the time!

(my OOTD of each first day of school, freshman-senior year.)

but thanks to the evolution of technology (and the Apple App Store), I've discovered (probably much later than it's actual original release) the Blogger app, making this whole little dream of mine more convenient and easy to carry out. c:

well, look at that. I've managed to make my very first post on this blog painfully lengthy, by blabbing on about things that would be deemed as pretty uninteresting and irrelevant to rest of the world. but be prepared to see this kind of blabbing often throughout my future posts.

so I guess I'll end it here, wish myself good luck (*good luck, Vic/me/whatever else I could call myself without sounding awkward*), and thank anybody who's actually out there looking at/reading this or anything else on my blog in the future, so thank you!

and so, this is it.
